Own a Flea bamboo fly rod, crafted by hand in our Manchester, Vermont rod shop for 2008 only. The sweet, 4-wt. 6½' nimble little gem made a great big splash when it first ran in the Orvis catalog more than 40 years ago. For years afterward it was the lightweight rod for anglers who loved fishing small streams or larger streams when the water was low and clear. Just 4.0 oz. the Flea remains a perfect bamboo rod for delicate presentations with tiny flies. This special Flea is crafted to the exact taper specifications of the original. Plus, its hardware is upgraded with smartly-blued and hand-engraved nickel-silver sliding reel seat band. It comes in its own special Wes Jordan-style tube with saddle-stitched russet leather and heavy-gauge aluminum protective liner and includes an extra tip.

Special Edition Mitey Mite Bamboo Fly Rod

A special edition series of bamboo fly rods crafted by hand in our Manchester, Vermont fly rod shop for 2007 only. In special numbered editions, the Mitey Mite is made to the exact taper specifications of the original split bamboo fly rod, first sold in Orvis catalogs more than thirty years ago. Plus, its hardware is upgraded with a smartly-blued and hand-engraved nickel-silver sliding reel seat band embellishes the Wes Jordan-model fly rods. Just 5 feet long, this 5-weight rod weighs in at a mere 2.2 ounces. But, it possesses the same absolutely amazing crisp power as the original. The Special Edition Mitey Mite Bamboo Fly Rod comes in its own special Wes Jordan-style tube with saddle-stitched russet leather and heavy-gauge aluminum protective liner. Fly rod includes extra tip.
